Nearshore Service Line Specialist

As a Nearshore Service Line Specialist at Fugro, you will be responsible for working on the Nearshore Service Line, collaborating with team members, and assisting with tender reviews and proposal preparation. You will also be involved in planning, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting on the service line's aspects. Additionally, you will discuss project requirements, technical deliverables, and schedules with stakeholders to ensure compliant proposals are submitted. Your tasks will include working on Requests for Information (RFIs) and Pre-Qualifications (PQs) for new and existing clients, as well as acting as a technical liaison to individuals within and outside the company. You will also produce project programs, review contract technical specifications, and negotiate and define specific mechanisms prior to commencement. Furthermore, you will gather performance data on all aspects of the project and submit weekly and monthly reports to head office. You will ensure that the Project Management Plan, Execution Plan, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments are in place for all activities and have been communicated to and fully understood by all site personnel. You will also ensure that all project documentation is reviewed on a continuous basis, updated as necessary, and changes are communicated and briefed to all site personnel. Additionally, you will ensure that an Emergency Response Plan and an Environmental Management Plan are in place and all personnel on site are briefed on and understand its contents. You will assist the Barge Master/Site Supervisor to ensure all maintenance and inspection records are completed and submitted to relevant head office departments. You will also ensure accurate daily site records are maintained and highlight to all site personnel what records/details are essential to complete an accurate measure and final claim. You will be responsible for undertaking incident reviews and closing out in line with company processes, reporting findings to clients, and discussing mitigating measures going forward. You will arrange Kick-Off and Wrap-Up meetings, financial monitoring of the Service Line to ensure it is meeting the yearly profit plan and targets. You will develop monthly financial reports that fall in line with company's financial reporting process. You will work with the Service Line Director to develop a plan to ensure financial targets can be met. You will also ensure the Management of Change process is followed and support the sign off. You will ensure Qualified Acceptance Certificates and/or Sectional/Certificates are obtained. You will ensure Substantial Completion and/or Final Acceptance Certificates are obtained. You will support the delivery of QHSSE initiatives throughout the business. You will give feedback on company systems with a view to continual improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Geology, Oceanography, or Civil Engineering.
Experience
2 years of progressive offshore/nearshore/land site characterization experience, working on operations, project management, and financial management/control within the nearshore zone including the use of jack-up platforms, barges, conventional vessels, and specialist soft ground/shallow water vehicles for both geotechnical and geophysical operations.
