We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Integration and Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Jacobs. As a key member of our Northwest team based in Hawaii, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that bring innovative solutions to our municipal clients' water challenges locally and worldwide.

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated System Integration and Control Systems Engineer who is committed to delivering high-quality solutions that meet our clients' needs. As a member of our team, you will have the chance to work on a wide range of projects, from design through onsite startup work, and will be supported by our world-class System Integration and Control Systems team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the efforts to connect with local clients and work with them to develop and deliver SCADA integration and Instrumentation and Control projects of all sizes.
  • Contribute to the development and growth of people (e.g. mentoring junior engineers) both domestically and globally.
  • Develop control system software in Programmable Logic Controllers and Human Machine Interfaces and perform facility startups and commissioning activities.
  • Review constructions submittals, conduct site evaluations, make recommendations for control system upgrades, manage control system projects, and communicate with clients and management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in I&C Systems Integration design, Process & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) development, I/O list development, Instrumentation selection, Control panel layout and wiring, Detailed loop wiring diagrams, PLC equipment list development, experience with PLCs and HMI programming software, ability to develop and manage control system scope of work, ability to manage control system projects, ability to support and develop project proposals, ability to work collaboratively with others domestically and abroad, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ideally, you will also have experience with water infrastructure Instrumentation & Controls Systems design, experience with MCC and VFD control requirements, Active Professional Engineer (P.E.), Control System Master Plan development and execution experience, and experience with control system project delivery in Hawaii.
