Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Crisis Clinician to provide individual crisis services for youth placed in the Children's Receiving Home Welcome Center. The successful candidate will provide trauma-informed clinical support to youth who have recently been placed in protective custody or are dependents of the court.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess clients' needs and develop safety, behavioral, and treatment plans as indicated.
  • Provide crisis counseling to children/youth placed in the Welcome Center program.
  • Collaborate with the Welcome Center team, county social workers, parents, and family members to provide consultation and support.
  • Assess, determine, and make referrals for special services or care when necessary.
Requirements
  • Possession of a master's degree from an accredited school of Social Work or other graduate program in Psychology, Counseling, or Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling.
  • Experience working in an inpatient or residential clinical setting is desired.
  • Two years' experience working with children, adolescents, and families is desired.
Preferred Qualifications
  • LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT license preferred.
  • Registration with the California BBS as an ASW or MFT intern is preferred.
  • Valid California Driver's License.
Working Conditions

The Crisis Clinician will work in a fast-paced environment, providing services to youth in crisis. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, providing consultation and support to youth, families, and staff.
