About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Technician T2 to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for executing tests within our engineering laboratories, performing lab operations, system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of existing electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, laboratory and scientific systems and/or equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform prototyping or building of cabling and electrical components in support of engineering testing.
  • Learn how to operate the engineering development stations, including the use of both Windows and Linux operating systems with a focus on thoroughness and repeatability using documented procedures.
  • Assist in developing new procedures and an understanding of basic troubleshooting, integration, and test equipment.
  • Work in a team environment within WPC engineering laboratories, completing hardware and software test set up, generating test data, and reviewing test output used by engineers to determine laboratory functionality.

Requirements

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience with electronics.
  • Experience and understanding of troubleshooting, analysis, and characterization techniques.
  • Basic knowledge test equipment, such as spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, oscilloscope and DMMs.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Windows or Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of equipment rack assembly, cable assembly/installation, and electronics maintenance.
  • Knowledge of test equipment such as data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers.
  • Experience troubleshooting systems using general test equipment, such as data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers.
