We are seeking a skilled Subsurface Utility Engineering Specialist to join our team at T2 Utility Engineers. As a key member of our field tech team, you will be responsible for conducting utility investigations, operating SUE equipment, and providing accurate data and reports to support our clients' infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:- Operate SUE utility locating and designating equipment, including pipe and cable locators, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), and non-destructive vacuum excavation
- Complete detailed accurate daily reports, forms, and field sketches, both electronically and by hand
- Use tools and equipment to conduct utility investigations, including jackhammer, pogo-tamper, concrete saw, compressor blower, vacuum hose, air lance, and hand tools
- Drive commercial motor vehicles, with a valid driver's license and good driving record
- Perform safety set-up and maintenance of traffic operations under direct supervision of senior field staff
- Assist with survey and data collection tasks, supporting overall crew activities
- Perform daily routine maintenance of equipment and vehicles
- High School Diploma/GED
- 4+ years of experience in the utility locating industry or as a SUE Field Tech
- Ability to read and interpret utility company prints and design plans
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and obtain a DOT medical card for CMV operation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical movements necessary to operate heavy tools and equipment
