Job Overview

Position Summary:

The role of the Branch Manager is vital in providing customers with exceptional value through the effective management of trailer parts distribution. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of branch operations, including sales, customer relations, distribution logistics, warehouse management, and team leadership. The Branch Manager is accountable for the performance and growth of all personnel within the branch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee branch operations in alignment with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), managing financial metrics, budgets, and operational expenditures to meet organizational objectives.
  • Exhibit a general manager approach, fostering business growth and operational excellence through proactive leadership.
  • Make significant decisions regarding hiring, disciplinary measures, performance assessments, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Direct daily distribution activities, assign tasks, and ensure team accountability to optimize branch performance.
  • Plan and prioritize tasks to ensure alignment with organizational goals while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Establish and nurture strong customer relationships, ensuring customer-focused solutions and service excellence by monitoring schedules, costs, performance, and satisfaction levels.
  • Leverage ERP systems and data analytics to enhance efficiency in business development, decision-making, and process optimization.
  • Evaluate complex information to effectively resolve issues, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborate across departments, building partnerships to achieve shared goals and promote a unified operational strategy.
  • Develop and lead high-performing teams, utilizing diverse skills and perspectives to reach common objectives.
  • Communicate complex information clearly to employees, management, and clients, ensuring mutual understanding and alignment.
  • Encourage direct engagement and adaptability, inspiring the team to excel and adjusting strategies to meet evolving demands.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent supervisory experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role with demonstrated experience managing a team of 10 or more.
  • At least 8 years of experience in distribution, logistics, or warehouse operations management.
  • Experience in P & L management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems, specifically D365-Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in managing sales distribution operations and logistics.
  • Prior experience overseeing warehouse operations of 100,000-200,000 square feet.
