Job Overview:

A prestigious country club seeks a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Operations Manager to oversee and manage financial operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement Preparation:

    The Financial Operations Manager will prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including income and expense reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

  • General Ledger Management:

    This role will manage general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal postings.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting:

    The Financial Operations Manager will assist with budget preparation, forecasts, and variance analysis.

  • Closing Procedures:

    This role will ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings.

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable Oversight:

    The Financial Operations Manager will monitor accounts payable and receivable processes.

  • Compliance and Regulatory Standards:

    This role will oversee compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

  • Financial Insights and Strategic Recommendations:

    The Financial Operations Manager will collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights and strategic recommendations.

  • Internal and External Audits:

    This role will support internal and external audits as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

  • Experience:

    The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a hospitality, nonprofit, or membership-based organization.

  • Technical Skills:

    Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills are necessary.

  • Financial Knowledge:

    A strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements is essential.

  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:

    The Financial Operations Manager must be detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills:

    Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities are required.

Estimated Salary:

$80,000 - $110,000 per year
