Job Description

JET Technologies, a versatile organization specializing in plastic CNC fabrication and Thermoforming/Vacuum Forming, is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Procurement Specialist.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant purchasing experience.
  • Experience in strategic sourcing methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead effective supplier negotiations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Office, AS400).
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with hardware components (e.g., hinges, latches, fasteners) and electrical components (e.g., lighting, wiring).
  • Capability to interpret and analyze technical drawings.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Sales teams to identify and source new suppliers and vendors.
  • Establish and nurture strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Timely preparation and processing of purchase orders for materials and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to assess future needs.
  • Minimize the occurrence of obsolete materials.
  • Communicate regularly with Production and Sales regarding material schedules and potential shortages.
  • Conduct monthly cycle counts and generate inventory variance reports.
  • Negotiate favorable pricing and terms with vendors.
  • Ensure optimal pricing and program benefits.
