Overview: Worldwide Foam is in search of a proactive and skilled HR Generalist to act as the key liaison for all recruitment and onboarding processes. This position is crucial for facilitating a smooth and effective experience for candidates and new hires. The HR Generalist will work closely with the HR Manager on various compliance and employee engagement projects, playing a significant role in the success of our HR initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Selection:

  • Formulate and execute strategic hiring plans to attract high-quality candidates.
  • Identify, screen, and arrange interviews for hiring managers and applicants for vacant roles.
  • Perform comprehensive background and reference verifications.
  • Oversee the offer process and collaborate with management to negotiate attractive compensation packages.

Onboarding & Integration:

  • Create and implement thorough onboarding programs for new employees.
  • Conduct engaging orientation and training sessions for new hires in partnership with the HR Manager.
  • Ensure new employees have access to all necessary resources and information to begin their roles effectively.
  • Work with staffing agencies on rate negotiations for temporary staffing requirements.

HR Operations & Compliance:

  • Collaborate with the HR Manager on all compliance-related initiatives.
  • Stay informed about federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining precise employee records and data within the HRIS.
  • Support processes related to employee separations, offboarding, and leave management.

Employee Engagement:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of innovative employee engagement strategies.
  • Conduct employee relations activities and address concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Help cultivate a positive, inclusive, and productive workplace culture.
  • Act as the corporate site office manager, overseeing the procurement and management of office supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a generalist HR role, focusing on recruitment and onboarding.
  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance and state/federal regulations.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems (experience with Isolved is a plus).
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Passion for fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial HR environment is preferred.
