As an Associate Director of Philanthropy, you will be responsible for securing donations from loyal supporters and developing relationships with current donors to support our Salt Lake City hospital.

This is a dynamic and meaningful position for a development professional interested in purposeful fundraising. You will work independently to identify and cultivate prospective donors from our service territory, soliciting major gifts and nurturing donor relationships through regular contact and communication.

Responsibilities
  • Create a strategic gift solicitation plan to increase retention and generate larger gifts from current donors and prospects.
  • Manage a portfolio of individual and foundation donors, conducting in-person visits when possible.
  • Employ moves management strategies to build relationships, deepen donor engagement, and increase retention of current and potential donors.
  • Solicit and close gifts, researching and preparing foundation proposals as needed.
  • Record all donor-related activities accurately and timely in our CRM system.
  • Provide required reports in a timely manner to the Director of Development.
  • Develop and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with the philanthropy team and all departments at the Salt Lake City hospital.
Qualifications
  • 3 years of progressive fundraising experience required.
  • 1 year of working in major giving and planned giving programs required.
  • Track record of fundraising accomplishments required.
  • Working knowledge of planned giving vehicles and prior experience with charitable gift annuity programs preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CRM or comparable data base system preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare fundraising is preferable.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
