Pain Management Physician Opportunity

Mount Nittany Medical Center is seeking a Pain Management Physician to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Pain Management Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Comprehensive Patient Assessments: Conduct thorough medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations to identify the underlying causes of pain and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide Evidence-Informed Pain Management: Utilize the latest evidence-based practices and techniques to provide medical and interventional pain management to patients, ensuring high standards of care and patient satisfaction.
  • Order and Interpret Diagnostic Tests: Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, MRIs, and laboratory studies, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Perform Interventions: Utilize fluoroscopy or ultrasound to perform most interventions, ensuring accurate and effective treatment.
  • Monitor Patient Progress: Regularly monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Other Providers: Participate in collaborative care with other providers and support the services available for multidisciplinary interventional pain management.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives: Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education activities to stay abreast of advancements in pain management techniques and best practices.
  • Maintain Accurate Medical Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and practice protocols in a timely and professional manner.
Compensation Package:
  • Competitive Compensation: Receive a competitive compensation package, including a salary and benefits.
  • PTO and CME: Enjoy 9 weeks of PTO and 1 week of CME, as well as a $3,500 annual CME allowance.
  • Sign-on Bonus: Receive a $40,000 sign-on bonus over 3 years.
Qualifications:
  • Medical Doctor Degree: Possess a Medical Doctor degree from a university-affiliated medical school.
  • Resident Training: Have completed resident training in a university-affiliated hospital.
  • Current Pennsylvania Medical License: Hold a current Pennsylvania medical license.
  • Current DEA Registration: Possess a current DEA registration.
  • ABA Board-Certification: Be ABA board-certified and have completed a pain fellowship.
  • Background Check: Pass a background check, including a review of past medical licensure, hospital privileges, and any felony convictions.
