Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Transportation Technician to join our team at Stormont Vail Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for transporting patients, visitors, and medical items safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport patients and visitors using beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Assist in lifting patients into beds and delivering them to their required destination, adhering to proper procedure.
  • Maintain accurate logs of items picked up and delivered, ensuring timely and efficient transportation.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care and support.
  • Comply with all policies, standards, and mandatory training requirements of Stormont Vail Health.
Requirements
  • 1 year of customer service experience, with a preference for direct patient care experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 60 days of hire.
Working Conditions

The Patient Transportation Technician will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, interacting with patients, visitors, and staff. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work as a team member to transport patients weighing up to 400 pounds using assistive devices.
