Position Overview:
The Senior Electrical Panel Assembly Technician at Argus Technical plays a crucial role in the production process, reporting directly to the Production Manager. This position is essential for ensuring high-quality electrical assembly and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
The individual in this role will be responsible for:

  1. Executing electrical assembly tasks, which include mounting equipment on sub-panels, positioning components, and completing wiring through soldering and crimping.
  2. Completing assigned projects efficiently and safely, following work order instructions and assembly schematics to meet production and industry standards.
  3. Conducting point-to-point continuity tests on all wiring and verifying product performance prior to shipment.
  4. Assembling machine wiring, which involves bending and securing conduit to mechanical structures.
  5. Performing on-site electrical assembly tasks at client locations as necessary.
  6. Carrying out mechanical tasks such as drilling, sawing, and grinding.
  7. Maintaining an organized and clean workspace in line with lean manufacturing principles.
  8. Reporting any product discrepancies, inventory shortages, or equipment issues to management.
  9. Adhering to company policies and safety regulations.
  10. Engaging in additional activities that contribute to the overall success of the organization as opportunities arise.

Additional Duties:
General shop duties may include servicing the building's electrical systems and completing shop orders.

Minimum Qualifications:
To excel in this position, candidates must possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • 2-4 years of experience in electrical assembly or a related field.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in using electrical hand tools, including soldering guns, wire strippers, and drills, is essential. Familiarity with electrical components and the ability to interpret electrical schematics are also required.

Knowledge and Abilities:
Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical understanding.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • High organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • A collaborative approach to teamwork and a commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture.

Physical and Mental Demands:
This role involves regular exposure to electrical hazards and may require lifting up to 50 pounds. Candidates should be prepared to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels and varying conditions.
