Position Overview:

The Senior Electrical Panel Assembly Technician at Argus Technical plays a crucial role in our production team, reporting directly to the Production Manager. This position is essential for ensuring the highest standards of electrical assembly and panel building.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Assembly: Execute electrical assembly tasks by mounting equipment on sub-panels, positioning components, and performing soldering and crimping of wires. Ensure proper routing and completion of machine wiring.
  • Quality Assurance: Complete assigned projects safely and efficiently, adhering to work order instructions, assembly drawings, and schematics while meeting industry and customer standards.
  • Testing: Conduct point-to-point continuity tests on all wiring and evaluate the performance of products prior to shipment, as applicable.
  • On-Site Assembly: Carry out electrical assembly tasks at customer locations when required.
  • Mechanical Tasks: Perform mechanical duties including drilling, sawing, and grinding as necessary.
  • Inventory Management: Report any discrepancies in products, inventory shortages, equipment malfunctions, or misapplications to management.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety regulations.
  • Building Maintenance: Service the building's electrical systems and complete shop orders as needed.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
  • 2-4 years of experience in electrical assembly or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using electrical hand tools, including soldering guns, wire strippers, and conduit benders.
  • A strong mechanical aptitude and technical comprehension.
  • Understanding of electrical symbols and components, along with the ability to interpret electrical schematic diagrams.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing programs for work instructions and schedules.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Capable of addressing problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Environment:
