About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Hospice House/IPU team on a part-time night shift basis. As a Hospice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to patients and their families during their end-of-life journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Effectively interact with patients, families, and other interdisciplinary team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families, promoting a sense of dignity and respect.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio without any board actions.
  • Two years acute care nursing experience preferred.
  • CPR Certified.
  • Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPN) preferred; required within two years of employment.
  • Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care.
  • Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime, or inclement weather.
  • Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record.
  • State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage.
