Dietitian - Nutrition Care Specialist

At Fairview Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Dietitian to join our team as a Nutrition Care Specialist. This role will involve directing and providing nutritional care to patients, conducting nutrition assessments, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve high standards of nutritional care.

Requirements:
- Completed Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or related field and Dietetic Internship
- LDN and MA Dietitian/Nutritionist acquired within 9 months of hire
- RD through the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire
- Excellent communication and organizational skills

Primary Functions:
The Dietitian directs and provides nutritional care to patients, conducts nutrition assessments, and works with other members of the health care team to achieve continually improving standards of nutritional care.
This position encompasses acute care, long term care and outpatient clinical nutritional responsibilities, including diabetes education, community education, staff education, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
Position Qualifications:
- 1-2 years previous hospital clinical experience preferred
- Completed Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or related field and Dietetic Internship
- LDN and MA Dietitian/Nutritionist acquired within 9 months of hire
- RD through the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire
Other Requirements:
- Must accumulate 15 continuing education hours per year, which are AND & ADA approved
- Must demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must present appropriately in leadership role as a health care provider and advocates a healthy lifestyle
- Must have working knowledge of diabetic, cardiac, renal, parenteral/enteral and pediatrics nutrition
