Position Overview:
A position is available for a Manufacturing Assembler at Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company.
This is a full-time role.
General Summary:
This role will report to the Shop Floor Supervisor and will involve various tasks throughout the production area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute manual and mechanized assembly tasks.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards.
- Utilize hand tools, machinery, air presses, jigs, and other equipment effectively.
- Follow detailed work instructions accurately.
- Perform additional tasks such as loading and unloading components into tools and preparing materials for pressing.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Must exhibit the ability to set up and monitor equipment based on written and verbal guidelines.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with proficiency in using and interpreting various measuring instruments.
- Capability to conduct fine mechanical assembly, including resistance welding, light machining, and electrical testing. Certified soldering skills per J-STD/NASA are advantageous.
- Experience in the Defense and Aerospace sectors, along with familiarity with company product lines, is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Appropriate safety equipment is required as dictated by the work area. Some manufacturing and testing environments may expose employees to noise, necessitating hearing protection. Safety training for handling pyrotechnic materials is required.
- The physical activities associated with this position include lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally, walking, standing, sitting, reaching, kneeling, repetitive motions, stooping, balancing, pushing, pulling, coordinating, talking, and hearing.

Compensation:
Hourly Rate:
$26.00 per hour. Compensation is determined based on the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
