We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Park Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Lorain County Metropolitan Park District. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our parks and facilities, ensuring they are safe and well-maintained for our visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and lead a team of maintenance staff to ensure the efficient and effective maintenance of our parks and facilities.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to ensure that all facilities and equipment are properly maintained.
- Conduct regular inspections of our parks and facilities to identify and address any maintenance issues.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance needs are met and that facilities are properly maintained.
- Develop and manage budgets for maintenance and repair projects.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service to our visitors and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as natural resources, parks and recreation, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in park maintenance or a related field, with experience in supervision and leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and materials.
- Valid Ohio driver's license and ability to operate a variety of vehicles and equipment.
- Associate's degree in a related field.
- Experience with maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities.
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
This position requires the ability to work in a variety of environments, including outdoors in all weather conditions, and in a shop or office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
