Job Title: LPN Behavioral Health Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN to join our team at Harbor Oaks Hospital, a leading Mental Health and Addiction Treatment Center in New Baltimore, MI.

Job Summary:

The LPN Behavioral Health Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care and services to patients in our facility, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor patient health and administer basic care, utilizing the nursing process within the LPN/LVN scope of practice.
  • Role model expectations related to customer service and demonstrate a sense of urgency related to patient safety.
  • Collaborate with others to ensure patients' physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental, and cultural needs are met.
  • Provide for the basic comfort of patients, implement nursing interventions identified in the plan of care, and progress patients towards wellness.
  • Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, coworkers, and others involved in patient treatment.
  • Provide safe delivery of medication in accordance with policies and procedures, physicians' orders, and current practice.
  • Maintain standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with facility policy and procedures, external governing and credentialing bodies, performance improvement standards, and psychiatric nursing standards.
  • Responsible for thorough, accurate reporting and documentation of patient symptoms, responses, and progress.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • One or more years' of nursing experience within clinical area of service provided by facility preferred.
  • Current LPN/LVN license as required by state.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
  • First aid may be required based on state or facility.
