Key Responsibilities
  • Assume overall responsibility for clinical nursing practice and ensure continuity in decision making and consistency in nursing practice.
  • Act as a resource and support person for the nursing staff, providing guidance and expertise as needed.
  • Represent administration during events and ensure that nursing and hospital standards are met.
  • Emphasize a culture of professionalism and accountability, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, CCO, and coworkers about patient clinical conditions and respond quickly to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure in good standing.
  • One to two years of rehab or med-surg experience or training.
  • CRRN Certification preferred.
  • BLS Certification.
  • ACLS Certification or completion of arrhythmia course required.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively and positively in English.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and positive human relation skills.
