Job Summary

Horizon Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Recovery Specialist III to join our team at the Sobering Center. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and stability of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Monitoring and Support
    • Monitor and observe client behavior and activity to ensure their safety and stability.
    • Conduct property safety checks on client incoming property.
    • Assist with meal preparation and meal distribution daily.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team at the Sobering Center.
    • Communicate daily needs or observational concerns to Health and SUD staff.
  • Environment and Safety
    • Create and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for all clients at all times.
    • De-escalate emotionally unstable client behavior.
    • Provide orientation and overview for incoming clients.
  • Facility Maintenance
    • Maintain facility cleanliness and organization daily.
    • Monitoring cleanliness and performing needed cleanup duties.
    • Preparing bed rolls and basic hygienic items to all incoming clients.
  • Transportation and Emergency Response
    • Transport clients to local facilities when needed.
    • Respond to emergency needs as directed by Program Manager.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of client monitoring experience working directly with SUD populations.
  • Basic academic knowledge and understanding of Substance Use.
  • Demonstrated competency in using technology.
  • May be registered with a state certifying SUD body (CCAPP/CADTP/CAADE).
  • Must have a CA driver's license and good driving record in good standing.

Compensation

$24.00-$26.00/hr. based on experience and qualifications.
