Job Title: Subrogation Specialist

CorVel Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Subrogation Specialist to join our team in the Subrogation department. As a Subrogation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing subrogation recovery for Workers Compensation and Auto damage claims.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify subrogation potential based on facts of loss and work closely with Work Comp Claims Adjusters or Liability adjusters.
  • Send lien notice letters and negotiate settlements with injury attorneys.
  • Communicate with clients' risk managers and maintain a diary to follow up on claims status and Third Party settlements.
  • Negotiate recovery of clients' damages and communicate claim status with customers and claimants.
  • Adhere to client guidelines and participate in claim reviews as needed.
  • Develop and maintain professional customer relationships and manage a queue of claims with a claim volume.
  • Assist management in filing Inter-company Arbitration.
Requirements:
  • Experience in workers comp subrogation or auto damage subrogation preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Effective analytical and interpretive skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, but also work independently.
  • Ability to negotiate settlement over the phone.
  • Research, analyze, and interpret nationwide subrogation laws.
Education:
  • Four-year degree at an accredited college or university preferred.
Pay Range:

CorVel Corporation uses a market-based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.

For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during the interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.

Pay Range: $29.63 per hour
