Healthcare Support Specialist

The UNM Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
This is a full-time day shift opportunity with a competitive salary range of $37,814 - $46,425 per year, based on years of relevant experience.
The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, completion of a Medical Assistant Program, and certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
You will also need to obtain BLS certification and provide proof of education and licensure.
In this role, you will perform various administrative and clinical tasks, including direct patient service, registration, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and collecting co-pays.
You will work closely with our healthcare team to provide excellent patient care and promote a positive clinic environment.
