The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the assistant or associate professor level in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine.

As a Geriatric Psychiatrist at MCW, you will play a vital role in our Geriatric Psychiatry Program, providing expert psychiatric care for elderly patients with unique mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations for elderly patients.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
• Address the specific mental health challenges faced by geriatric patients, including dementia, depression, anxiety, and cognitive disorders.

Position Requirements:

• Medical degree and board certification in psychiatry.
• Subspecialty board certification in geriatric psychiatry is preferred.
• A valid license to practice psychiatry in the state of Wisconsin.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassion and empathy for the unique needs of geriatric patients.
