Job Title: Early Head Start Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Head Start Teacher to join our team at Children and Families First Delaware Inc.

Job Summary:

The Early Head Start Teacher will be responsible for creating a nurturing and responsive environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children aged 0-3 years.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans that cater to the unique needs and abilities of each child.
  • Collaborate with a co-teacher to ensure the successful operation of the classroom and achieve meaningful progress for each child.
  • Implement Individual Family Services Plans (IFSPs) for children with disabilities and provide support for their social and emotional development.
  • Use observations and anecdotal notes to document children's progress and individualize the curriculum.
  • Provide a consistent classroom routine that is responsive to individual infants and toddlers' needs.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED, Infant/Toddler CDA with at least 120 training hours in Infant/Toddler content plus at least 480 hours of experience working with infant and toddlers.
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (desirable).
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills, using MS Office applications and other basic data systems including internet navigation.
  • Must maintain CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to the cultural differences present among the agency's service population.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
