Responsibilities:
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
  • Welcome and comfort patients, ensuring their needs are met throughout their visit.
  • Provide information to patients and staff by answering questions and addressing concerns.
  • Assist dentists with instrumentation, materials, and diagnostic information.
  • Maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations and cleaning removable appliances.
  • Help manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
  • Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by adhering to infection-control policies.
  • Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
Requirements:
  • X-ray license
  • Experience working as an Orthodontic Assistant
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) proficiency
