We are in search of a Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager for a reputable Mechanical Contractor known for its expertise in high-end specialty projects. Our client, a well-established entity, is looking for a candidate who can significantly enhance company operations. The projects undertaken include a diverse range of large-scale Commercial, Institutional, Public, and select Residential ventures. The Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager will support the project management team with various responsibilities such as Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, scheduling, change orders, reporting, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborating with Senior Management on the Design/Build process for major mechanical and plumbing initiatives
  • Engaging in project meetings to ensure effective coordination among Owners, architects, contractors, and subcontractors
  • Working alongside the internal Mechanical Designers / BIM team to create BIM models within project timelines and budget constraints
  • Overseeing all permitting processes
  • Coordinating with estimating teams to guarantee timely delivery of necessary information
  • Conducting design and constructability assessments
  • Reviewing project scope as required
  • Ensuring prompt completion of contract documents
  • Identifying and communicating site-related issues and their potential impacts
  • Proactively addressing project delays in conjunction with Senior Management
  • Facilitating regular project status review meetings with the Senior Project Manager and Senior Management team
