Job Title: Prevention CoordinatorJob Summary:

The Prevention Coordinator will serve as the Substance Abuse Prevention/Suicide Prevention Trainer and Case Manager within their assigned State Army National Guard. This role requires establishing and maintaining positive relationships with State Points of Contact, implementing program goals, and coordinating Substance Abuse Prevention and Suicide Prevention training.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Establish and maintain relationships with State Points of Contact and community-based providers.
  2. Implement program goals, objectives, and standard operating procedures.
  3. Coordinate and conduct Substance Abuse Prevention and Suicide Prevention training for ARNG Units.
  4. Coordinate and facilitate the Unit Risk Inventory and Reintegration Unit Risk Inventory.
  5. Manage all Substance Abuse referred Soldier cases from initial referral to final disposition statistics.
  6. Serve as a member of the Commander's Readiness and Resiliency Council and the Adjutant General's Alcohol and Drug Intervention Council.
  7. Provide required weekly/monthly reports to the Risk Reduction Coordinator.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Social Science or related field.
  • 3-5 years of practical experience in Substance Abuse Prevention, Suicide Prevention, or Resiliency.
  • Ability to travel in-state.
