Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Specialist to join our team at the State of New Mexico. This role will be responsible for processing and voucher supplier invoices and employee travel reimbursement requests, ensuring agency and state procurement compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Input invoices and reimbursement requests into the SHARE system, reviewing records to ensure compliance.
  • Voucher supplier invoices and travel reimbursement requests.
  • Assist in budget preparation by compiling necessary information and creating narrative reports for management.
  • Ensure data is input in a timely manner and correctly.
  • Follow up on any missing documentation needed by divisions.
  • Report repeated infractions to the Accounts Payable Bureau supervisor and collaborate with bureau staff on training and solutions.
  • Collaborate with staff on policies and procedures.
  • Partner with the supervisor to ensure all compliance procedures remain up to date.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or Equivalency and one year of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and/or finance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
  • Knowledge of the SHARE financial system.
Working Conditions

This role will be performed primarily in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer use. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Some travel may be required.
