We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Coordinator to join our team at McKesson. As a key member of our clinical operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities- Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
- Registers and schedules appointments for patients in an efficient and timely manner.
- Answers, screens, and responds to routine questions, routes to appropriate personnel, or takes thorough messages.
- Pages clinic personnel as appropriate and communicates messages in an accurate and timely manner.
- Schedules returning appointments in accordance with physician and/or office guidelines.
- Provides patients with appointment details such as time, location, directions, instruction sheets, and other details.
- Records patient cancellations and missed appointments; reschedules appointments.
- Provides general administrative support by filing charts and forms, maintaining lobby area in a neat and orderly manner.
- Adheres to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA laws and guidelines with regards to patient records.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some receptionist or office experience preferred.
- Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft (Outlook, Office Word, and Excel) required.
- Must successfully complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of occupying position.
