About the Role:

As a Patient Services Associate II at Dignity Health's Pacific Central Coast Health Centers, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, physicians, and vendors. Your exceptional customer service skills, communication abilities, and phone call distribution expertise will make a significant impact on our daily clinic operations.

Responsibilities:

  • You will offer timely and accurate communication to patients, physicians, and vendors via phone.
  • Collect and update demographics and insurance information, verifying health plan eligibility and scheduling appointments using an electronic practice management system.
  • Taking complete and accurate messages is essential, utilizing an electronic practice management system.
  • Your clerical duties will include referrals, authorizations, pre-registration, and patient preparation, supporting daily clinic operations and quality patient care initiatives.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year of experience as a PSA I or equivalent experience is required.
  • Familiarity with an electronic practice management system is a must.
  • Medical terminology competency completion or equivalent experience is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in GE with completed competency is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills are essential.
  • Keyboarding skills and the ability to utilize computer equipment and software are required.
