Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled RN Diabetes Educator to join our team in a full-time capacity. As a Diabetes Educator, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing diabetes services programs, providing education to patients and staff, and maintaining current knowledge of diabetes and CDE certification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement diabetes services programs to promote effective patient care and education.
  • Provide education to diabetic inpatients and outpatients on diabetes management and self-care techniques.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide staff education related to diabetes care and management.
  • Maintain current knowledge of diabetes and CDE certification to ensure best practices in patient care.
  • Ensure program recognition status, if applicable, and maintain accreditation standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Current CA Licensure as RN.
  • BLS required.
  • Certified Diabetes Educator strongly preferred (must obtain in a reasonable timeframe after hire if applicant not currently a DCE).
  • Minimum 2 years experience as an RN.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Experience in program management in a health-related field.
  • Experience in caring for people with diabetes.
  • Possesses basic computer skills.
  • Clear, professional, personable communication.
