Role Overview: The Engineering Team Leader is accountable for overseeing and directing a group of engineers dedicated to the launch of new vehicle tooling and the enhancement of existing production methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage project initiatives while ensuring detailed confirmations of new manufacturing techniques.
  • Facilitate launch timelines and communicate progress and challenges to upper management.
  • Examine statistical data and product specifications to set standards and define quality and reliability goals for the finished product.
  • Plan and determine the sequence of operations for fabricating and assembling components to optimize efficiency.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports accurately.
  • Continuously assess advancements in welding technologies and recommend new project initiatives as necessary.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to identify and troubleshoot issues, propose solutions, and resolve challenges.
  • Support the introduction of new vehicles during the initial production phase.
  • Develop and implement Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent within the team.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with team members and management to enhance collaboration between maintenance and production.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures among team members.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering is preferred.

Experience: 1 to 5 years of relevant experience is preferred, with familiarity in various manufacturing processes such as metal stamping, welding, brazing, and hemming.

Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience in CAD modeling is essential, with CATIA V5/V6 experience considered an advantage.

Additional Information: The position may necessitate occasional travel, flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays, and may require on-call duties or overtime due to the nature of the responsibilities.
