Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Collaborative Care Clinician to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our mental health team, you will provide a wide range of clinical psychosocial services for adult and/or child members in a primary or specialty care, mental health or home health setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide evaluation of psychosocial assets and deficits, short-term counseling, education, advocacy, advanced care planning, and resource brokering with caregiving and/or other resources to enable and/or maintain the greatest level of independence.
  • Assess, triage, diagnose, treat, and/or provide crisis intervention services for members with mental health and addiction needs.
  • Collaborate with treating primary or specialty care providers and with psychiatric, addiction medicine, and allied health professional team members to plan and direct each individual patient's treatment program.
  • Participate in departmental program development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate plan of care and/or clinical treatment programs for the diagnosis, treatment, and/or referral of Health Plan members with acute or chronic mental or addiction illness.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Social Work (or Social Welfare from a clinical track), Clinical or Counseling Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field required from an accredited college or university.
  • Marriage and Family Therapist Associate License (Washington) OR Mental Health Counselor Associate License (Washington) OR Licensed Social Worker Associate-Independent Clinical (Washington) required.
  • Prior completion of a practicum or internship in a clinical setting required.
  • Full licensure expected within 3-4 years of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous clinical responsibility to include crisis intervention.
  • Experience working in medical settings with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience working with electronic health records.
