Position Overview:

As a pivotal member of our logistics team, you will play a crucial role in managing the flow of materials and products within our organization. Your expertise will ensure the efficient shipping of both domestic and international orders, contributing to our commitment to excellence in the aerospace and defense sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the coordination of external order fulfillment utilizing Reservations, Purchase Orders, and Sales Documents in our ERP system.
  • Evaluate and select the most effective shipping methods based on established procedures, routes, and cost considerations.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation, including labeling and packaging requirements, while effectively communicating pre- and post-shipment details.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any discrepancies or issues in the shipping process.
  • Conduct audits of freight invoices to verify accurate billing and ensure timely ordering of shipping supplies to avoid production delays.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while managing inventory levels effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, IATA, OSHA, ICS, and SOP requirements during all shipping activities.
  • Act as a backup for various warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and customer service, as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Assist with additional tasks as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or an associate degree (or equivalent 2-year post-secondary training) along with a minimum of four years of relevant experience.
  • Must meet the criteria of a U.S. Person as defined by applicable regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Incoterms and knowledge of international shipping regulations.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and SAP.
  • Experience in liaising with external vendors and coordinating pickups to ensure timely delivery of products.
