Overview:


Responsible for promoting and selling the company's retirement products and services, focusing on expanding the client base and enhancing profitability within the Human Resource Services sector.


Key Responsibilities:


Engages with decision-makers and end users to present a comprehensive range of retirement plans and flexible spending account offerings, aiming to secure new business.

Utilizes the Go-to-Market Sales Strategy to assess client needs and deliver tailored Paychex solutions to key stakeholders, adapting to their preferred mode of interaction, whether in-person or virtual, to drive revenue growth and market presence.


Schedules and conducts meetings with potential and existing referral sources, particularly within the financial advisory and registered investment advisor communities, to cultivate referrals to end users.


Employs various prospecting methods, including telephone outreach, direct mail campaigns, seminars, and visits to current clients, as directed by Sales management, to identify new clients and referral opportunities.

Assesses the needs and interests of prospects to recommend suitable products and refers them to the appropriate parties when necessary.

Facilitates the prompt resolution of client issues or complaints to ensure satisfaction and retention.


Completes and submits accurate new business documentation and expense reports by the deadlines established by Sales management to guarantee timely processing.

Records prospects, sales, and client interactions in the designated system to ensure seamless service delivery to Paychex clients.

Maintains a professional image in representing the company to uphold Paychex's reputation within the community and among clients.


Continuously enhances technical knowledge, competitive awareness, and sales skills to excel in lead generation, presentations, and closing deals.

Successfully completes required examinations to stay updated on product knowledge and participates in training sessions and self-study modules to advance to a Senior Retirement Plan Sales Representative.


May require travel outside the designated territory for conferences, training sessions, or regional and national meetings.


Builds and sustains partnerships with Sales, Branch, Hub, and Premier teams to ensure all client needs are effectively addressed.

Engages with external parties, including CPAs, attorneys, auditors, investment providers, banking partners, and third-party vendors.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma - Required


Less than 1 year of relevant experience with Paychex and successful completion of necessary training programs and/or certification by senior sales management.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in relevant sales or sales management roles.

Compensation:


In alignment with pay transparency, the starting base salary for this position is $59,000. Please note that this is the base salary only and does not encompass other components of the total rewards package. If hired at Paychex, overall compensation will be influenced by factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience, potentially resulting in total compensation outside of this range.
