Recruit Secure is collaborating with a leading Assisted Living Corporation in the NJ area to find an experienced Risk Manager for a direct hire opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for mitigating patient health risks and developing policies to ensure the facility's safety and accountability. They will investigate incidents, assess liability, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential risks to patient safety and security
  • Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and report findings according to NYS DOH policy
  • Assess liability and financial risks to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Report ongoing investigations to the Administrator and corporate team members
  • Implement mitigation strategies, assess their effectiveness, and make revisions as needed
  • Represent the facility at audits, inspections, and investigations by governing authorities
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of operations and clinical experience in healthcare, including quality assurance and risk management
  • Prior experience in a Risk Management role in healthcare (ALF or SNFs)
  • CPHRM or CPPS certification a plus
  • Good understanding of DOH and State regulatory compliance laws and policies
