Clerical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clerical Specialist to join our team at Lifespan. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for performing specialized and complex clerical functions, utilizing your judgment and knowledge of departmental systems and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviews, edits, and verifies the accuracy of various records, reports, and financial statements.
- Identifies errors, researches all available sources, and makes adjustments to reconcile errors as necessary.
- Provides resource assistance to other clerical personnel and assists in resolving operational and technical problems.
- Codes, indexes, logs, classifies, and files materials requiring thorough knowledge of appropriate coding formats and departmental record processing and maintenance systems.
- Performs complex accounting and clerical functions, such as processing, posting, and balancing settlements to patient accounts.
Requirements:
- 6-12 months of progressively more responsible job-related experience in departmental operations and specialized functions.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and math skills.
- Ability to operate standard and automated office equipment, including an online computer terminal.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Generally good working conditions with little discomfort from dust, noise, and heat.
