Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Surgical Tech II to join our team at Atlantic Health System. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply principles and practices of asepsis to maintain a sterile environment
  • Perform surgical scrub, gowning, and gloving procedures to ensure patient safety
  • Assemble and prepare surgical supplies according to patient and procedure requirements
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists with patient care and surgical procedures
  • Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments to prevent errors
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic technique throughout the surgical process
  • Participate in Universal Protocol and Fire Risk Assessment to ensure patient safety
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to achieve efficient and effective patient care
Requirements
  • High School degree or equivalent required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology required
  • Certification in Surgical Technology required
  • BLS required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or related field
