About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist II to join our team at Atlantic Health System. As a key member of our operating room team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply principles and practices of asepsis to maintain a sterile environment
  • Prepare and assemble all necessary supplies for surgical procedures
  • Assist in draping patients and operative areas
  • Anticipate and meet the needs of surgeons for instruments, sutures, and supplies
  • Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures
  • Participate in Universal Protocol and Fire Risk Assessment
  • Ensure proper functioning of equipment and instruments
  • Collaborate with RN team members to verify solutions and medications
  • Participate in cost containment practices and maintain a safe and organized work environment
Requirements
  • High School degree or equivalent required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology required
  • Certification in Surgical Technology required
  • BLS required
  • Preferred: Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or related field
