Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Archaeology Project Manager to join our team in Arizona. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our Cultural Resources department and work on diverse projects across the American Southwest.

About the Role

This full-time position will oversee all aspects of project management, from proposal development to close-out. You will be responsible for facilitating communication between WestLand, subcontractors, vendors, and clients, ensuring seamless project execution. Your expertise will also be essential in mentoring and developing our cultural resources teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinated communication and deliverables with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Oversee archaeological fieldwork, including survey, testing, monitoring, and data recovery excavations.
  • Foster relationships with current and future clients and vendors.
  • Lead the processing and cataloging of artifacts and materials according to lab specifications.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least four years of CRM supervisory experience in the American Southwest.
  • Expertise in local, state, and federal cultural resources laws and regulations.
  • Experience managing large cultural resources survey and data recovery projects.
  • Proven writing and reviewing technical archaeological reports.
