Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Residential Crisis Worker to join our team at Andrus Children's Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for children and staff, providing support and guidance as needed.

This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for working with emotionally troubled children and adults, and who possess excellent communication and de-escalation skills. As a member of our crisis management team, you will work closely with other staff members to develop and implement strategies to support children in crisis situations.

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. This includes a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental insurance, vision benefits, 401(k) employer contributions, tuition reimbursement, Aflac benefits, flex spending accounts, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for children and staff
  • Provide support and guidance as needed to children and staff
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to develop and implement strategies to support children in crisis situations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with children and staff to provide unified therapeutic services and milieu

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma with 5 years of related experience or an associate degree or equivalent
  • Minimum five years' experience working with emotionally troubled children or adults
  • A Valid driver's license in good standing for a minimum of 3 years
  • Good Oral and Written Communication Skills
  • Ability to access and utilize ADP app on smartphone or other device for access to agency programs
