Join Our Team as a Pain Medicine Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled Pain Medicine Physician to join our team at Greater Houston Interventional Pain Associates (GHIPA). As a board-certified Pain Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and developing personalized treatment plans for patients experiencing acute and chronic pain.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and diagnose patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including medication management and interventional procedures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Prescribe and administer medications as needed, while monitoring for effectiveness and potential side effects.
  • Perform interventional procedures, such as nerve blocks and spinal injections, in accordance with best practices and clinical guidelines.
  • Educate patients and their families on pain management strategies, including self-care techniques and lifestyle modifications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documentation of patient evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current on advancements in pain management techniques and research.
Requirements:
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Pain Medicine or Anesthesiology with a subspecialty in Pain Management.
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of Texas.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients and their families.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
  • Board Certified / Board Eligible Anesthesiologist or PM&R Specialist.
  • Completed / completing fellowship in Pain Management / Medicine.
  • Active or Eligible for Texas Medical License.
  • Experienced in the procedures that we perform regularly.
