POSITION SUMMARY

The Production and Shipping Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing and logistics processes. This position is responsible for overseeing production schedules, managing shipping timelines, and facilitating communication between various departments and customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Formulates and manages production timelines across all manufacturing sectors.
  • Accelerates the flow of components through the production pipeline.
  • Sets delivery dates for all client orders.
  • Collaborates with engineering and production teams to coordinate custom parts.
  • Confirms customer readiness for delivery by engaging in pre-shipment communication.
  • Maintains precise inventory records of finished products and informs the Purchasing Supervisor of any special requirements.
  • Encourages effective communication with both internal teams and external clients through various channels such as meetings and emails.
  • Fosters a team-oriented culture where employees feel valued, trusted, and accountable, working collectively towards shared objectives.
  • Engages with customers, sales teams, engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing personnel to fulfill responsibilities.
  • Monitors and updates the shipping schedule, adapting to customer needs as necessary.
  • Oversees outbound shipments, including the preparation of shipping documentation within the ERP system.
  • Coordinates with transport providers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Supervises staff responsible for verifying and documenting incoming and outgoing shipments, as well as preparing items for dispatch.
  • Processes completed shipments in the ERP system efficiently.
  • Ensures compliance with the Quality Management System and collaborates with the QA team to enhance processes across departments. Promotes timely submission of non-conformance reports to QA.
  • Adheres to all relevant company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Complies with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines.
  • Meets all Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • APICS CPIM Certification (Preferred)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Regularly required to sit, use hands for typing and handling objects, and communicate verbally.
  • Shift or overtime work may be necessary.
  • Standing and walking for 6 to 8 hours daily.
  • Bending and stooping for 6 to 8 hours daily.
  • Occasional lifting of weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Minimal travel, less than 10%.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Ability to adapt and be cross-trained for various job functions as required.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
