Section 2       Position Purpose
The Dispatch and Logistics Specialist will be responsible for booking all loads for
CDL drivers through job boards and/or in house, assist with broker
communications, driver location and status updates. This person will also support
the dispatch team along with any other job duties assigned by management, such
as organizing and maintaining of all billing and records. The ideal candidate has a
strong understanding of logistics, excellent communication skills, and the ability
to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Dispatching (60%)
 Provide driver location and status updates
 Issue EFS checks
 Serve as a primary point of contact for drivers, carriers, and internal teams,
providing real-time updates on load status and addressing issues promptly.
 Resolve any issues that arise during transportation, including delays, route
changes, and other logistical challenges
Billing (20%)
 Ensure all billing packets are 100%
 Invoice all approved packets
 Send invoices to brokers
Record Keeping (20%)
 Maintain accurate records of shipment details, load assignments, and
delivery status using dispatch software.
 Audit freight paid and charged

Skills/Abilities
 2+ years in a dispatch, logistics, or transportation coordination role;
experience with backhaul operations is preferred.

 High school diploma or GED required; a degree in logistics, supply chain
management, or a related field is a plus.
 Must be willing to subject to pre-employment screening.
 Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to
resolving issues.
 General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and strong data entry skills.
 Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing
priorities.
