Job Summary:

The School Nurse position at Mesa Public Schools is a vital role that requires a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide healthcare services to students and staff. As a School Nurse, you will be responsible for promoting health and wellness, preventing illness, and providing medical care to students in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement health programs to promote student health and wellness
  • Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify potential health issues
  • Administer medications and provide medical care to students as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to provide health education and promote healthy behaviors
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to ensure student health and well-being
  • Participate in school safety committees and other district initiatives to promote student health and safety

Requirements:

  • Valid Arizona Registered Nurse License
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
  • Experience in school nursing or public health nursing preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents
