Furniture Repair Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Furniture Repair Technician to join our team at the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification. As a Furniture Repair Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional repair services to our clients, ensuring their furniture is restored to its original condition.

Responsibilities:
  • Repair all types of furniture items to a high standard.
  • Order parts and maintain accurate records of work completed.
  • Maintain and repair equipment and tools.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in furniture repair and upholstery.
  • Ability to evaluate and assess problems and evaluate repair needs.
  • Physical ability to lift furniture up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to operate equipment and power tools required for the job.
  • Knowledge of computer systems (Windows, MS Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
