Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the National Guard Employment Network. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in mechanical systems, equipment installation, and repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Repair and install production/manufacturing equipment, including mechanical systems, electrical systems, and pneumatic systems.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make repairs or adjustments as needed.
  • Work independently under limited supervision, with a focus on self-management and documentation of work schedule and tasks completed.
Requirements
  • 18 years or older
  • Pass technical assessment addressing job-critical maintenance knowledge areas
  • Experience with mechanical systems, including gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, and bearings
  • Experience with product manuals and troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns
  • Experience with reading mechanical drawings, including hydraulics and pneumatics
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with basic electrical systems, including starters, fuses, contacts, and relays
  • Experience with compressors/ammonia systems, including refrigeration systems
  • Experience with conveyers and airveyors, including air cylinders, diverters, sensors, and motor/speed controls
  • Experience with electrical systems, including installation, frequency drive, and troubleshooting
Work Environment

This position requires continuous work near heat, noise, gas, and chemicals. The position requires frequent lifting, climbing, standing, walking, crouching, squatting, bending, and kneeling. The position may require weekend and/or holiday work.
