Patient Care Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Tech to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Assist registered nurses in implementing patient care plans, ensuring a safe and compassionate environment.
- Provide physical care to patients, including bed baths, toileting, grooming, and changing bed linen, adhering to established guidelines.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and blood glucose levels, performing tasks as directed by registered nurses.
- Prepare patients for meals, assisting with feeding and hydration as needed.
- Document patient care in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to established standards.
- Organize patient rooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Collect and label specimens according to established procedures.
- Provide mentorship and teaching to new nursing assistants to ensure high-quality patient care.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; nursing assistant certification preferred.
- Recent experience in clinical patient care, with a focus on providing exceptional patient support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move patients as needed, with a focus on maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
- Basic math and computer skills, with the ability to accurately document patient care.
