Key Responsibilities:
This internship, under the guidance of the Logistics Manager, involves a variety of tasks aimed at supporting Supply Chain operations. The role requires collaboration across different functions within the Logistics department to implement innovative strategies, solutions, and processes that align with departmental objectives and the overall goals of the company.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Assisting the Supply Chain Optimization manager as needed.
  • Coordinating processes among the Logistics department, customers, carriers, and distribution centers.
  • Ensuring accurate, timely, and professional communication with personnel from various departments.
  • Identifying opportunities and performing data analysis using MS Excel.
  • Supporting existing business processes and contributing to the development of documented procedures.
Project Involvement:
  • Assisting in the processing of customer claims related to overages, shortages, damages, and returns, including gathering and reconciling necessary documentation.
  • Facilitating communication and coordination between Transportation Operations, Transportation Planning, Distribution Centers, and Freight Finance for tasks such as shipment recovery and accessorial approvals.
  • Supporting the implementation of the 'Four Kites' shipment visibility tool and establishing documented procedures for system maintenance.
  • Learning and providing assistance for the Delivery Appointment and Rescheduling processes throughout transportation flows in the supply chain.
Qualifications:

Education:
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program, focusing on Supply Chain, Business, Agricultural Business Management, Economics, or a related field.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to effectively present information and address inquiries from various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and calculations.
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating effectively across different levels and departments to achieve objectives.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Proven track record of personal accountability and achievements in academic and professional endeavors.
Compensation:
$21.50 per hour
